CORPORATE HISTORY
The company was founded in 1971 by Harry Brix
as "Motor Sound Corporation" with the intent of distributing
car audio products in the San Francisco Bay area. The company distributed
two main lines: Panasonic and Motorola radio and sold them to electronics
specialty stores and through three retail stores called The Tape Deck
and an automotive dealer expediter service called Dealer Radio Service.
Motor Sound Corporation was renamed The Brix Group, Inc. in 1998 and
has grown into one of the largest wireless and car audio distributors
in the US. The company is privately held by Harry Brix.
The Brix Group Inc. is a leader in the consumer Mobile Entertainment
Products and Wireless Telecommunications Industry. The company sets
the standard by which competition gauges growth and marketing innovation
through 11 offices located in Phoenix, Arizona; Chicago, Illinois;
Miami, Florida (International Division Headquarters); Seattle, Washington;
Portland, Oregon; California facilities include: Campbell, Sacramento,
Fresno, San Diego and Santa Ana. The American Wireless division of
The Brix Group, Inc., sells annually more than 1,000,000 phones and
processes more than 400,000 consumer wireless service subscription
activations for over 42 telephone companies it represents including:
Verizon (Bell Atalantic, AirTouch, GTE) Alltell, Nextel and Sprint
in the United States.
